August 01, 2005 We asked for a quote covering a good English speaking guide to accompany us on the entire trip. Again not a large additional expense, and an absolutely essential part of the success of our trip. We were allocated U Nyi Nyi, who was quite excellent. He speaks perfect English, is University educated and well read, and is a fountain of knowledge on all things Burmese. Ask for him by name!

Myanmar is a very beautiful country with lots to see and feel. There are some adventures too in going by boat on the big river Irrawaddy. As I found out we saw a lots of things, pagodas, towns, nature and so on that it took a while to absorb all. And of course to travel by steam was very nice. Nyi did a very good work at that time.
